ASKI is definitely reaping what it sow! It once again bags the 2008 Excellence in Transformation Award given by Opportunity International (OI).
The competition was opened to all partners and members of OI network in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
The Transformation Award has two sub-categories: Excellence in Transformation and Transformation Against the Odds. The latter was awarded to a partner NGO in Vancouver, Canada. The criteria for the nominations will be evaluated according to the organization’s performance in the following categories: originality of
transformational product, service or activity, scope of transformational impact, and evidence of transformational impact through anecdotal and empirical data.
ASKI presented its diverse and integrated programs and services in helping the poor. It includes credit, community development, housing loan, agricultural loan, micro insurance (MBA), health insurance , money transfer implementation of Waste Management Act, livelihood and technical trainings and Business Development Support Services or BDSS and Comprehensive Research and Development.
