Mrs. Quiap accepts the MOTY 2007 Award with her husband

ASKI once again proved its impact on the lives of small-scale entrepreneurs as one its clients bagged a Special Award on the Citigroup

Microentrepreneur Of The Year (MOTY) Awards last November 13, 2007.
Mrs. Maricel Quiap of Baler, Aurora won the said award because of her astonishing achievement as a microfinance client and as an individual. She and her family thrived on furniture making and fishing.

This is the second time an ASKI client won in the said category. Last year, Ms. Consuelo Valenzuela of Barangay  Reserva of the same town was honored as the MOTY National awardee. Also, he received P150, 000.00 and a trophy.

Even though Mrs. Quiap did not emerge as the national winner, she and her husband was awarded the first ever Exemplary Partnership Award. This award was given to them in honor of their commendable partnership in man

Mrs. Quiap is recently studying in one of the private high schools in the town which offers evening classes. She proudly shared that she’s on the top of her class during the end of the school year.

Mrs. Quiap received P75, 000.00 cash prize and a trophy. The awarding ceremony was held at the Galleria Bangko Sentral, Metrepolitan Museum of Manila, BSP Complex at Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila.

She was escorted by her ever supportive husband, Mr. Bernard Quiap and other ASKI staff.
