Business Development&Support Service

 

Noticing the need not just to provide additional capital for the micro-entrepreneurs, ASKI developed a system to provide better links and technology for our clients.

Business Development and Support Service emerged and assist ASKI beneficiaries to discover other opportunities that will improve their livelihood thus will enable them to maintain human and social capital throughout their lives.

Business Development and Support Service ia an integrated delivery mechanism of non-financial services that aims to provide clients with the leverage, opportunity bases, and markets needed to make their business prosper. The package includes values formation and education and support services that create new opportunities and income-generating project (IGPs). Specific forms of assistance include values education, livelihood skills development, product development, , marketing, and consultancy services.

  1. Values Education Services
Personality development based on values orientation is the value added endeavor of ASKI - something that goes beyond practical loan programs. Offered by means of course lectures on leadership, stewardship, integrity, responsibility, honesty, respect,, and others.. ASKI lays stress on Filipino values as an integral part of the development for them to become more responsive and empowered members of the community.
  1. Livelihood Skills Development
This aims to equip ASKI clients with vocational and technical skills through short-term training courses. It focuses on areas with high income potential. It paves the way toward employability and capacity to set up enterprises from IGPs. Training courses are on dressmaking/sewing, carpentry, handicraft, cosmetology, and food processing/production, among others. A Training Needs Assessment (TNA) and inventory of local skills and resources are conducted prior to course start-up.
  1. Product Development Training

Product development, improvement and innovation are the major concerns in this package. The training includes idea generation, prototype production, pilot testing, business feasibility analysis, and commercialization. Clients are oriented as well to challenges and opportunities obtaining in the markets that prepare them to face and manage risks.

 

  1. Marketing

    BDSS serves as market link between entrepreneurial communities and potential markets. Product promotion and advertising as well as market familiarization comprise part of the services offered by ASKI. ASKI encourages training graduates to participate in various trade fairs, conferences, and ad market research.

    BDSS promotional activities include the participation of ASKI client-entrepreneurs in the Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fairs (Products of Central Luzon) held in Manila, local trade fairs and the Ugnayan, a quarterly interaction-consultation among federations of center chiefs of ASKI branches.

  1. Accounting, Auditing and Consultancy Services

ASKI believes that financial systems and procedures should be properly in place for an organization to succeed in its growth and expansion. Therefore, in-house expertise on accounting and auditing is put to use in order to assist groups and individual businesses.

ASKI also offers partner networks and other groups services such as setting up of Management Information System (MIS), both software and hardware. Designing of modules as well as conduct of activities that fit to the specific needs of clients and partners are also extended thru the BDSS.
