Man of Humility : Wilfredo S. Ulip
At first sight, you would think that he is a strict and stiff person in his work, but Wilfredo S. Ulip (otherwise known as "Edu" of Guimba Branch) has a malleable and humble personality that everyone adores. His modest nature is one of the factors that makes him an Outstanding Collection Officer. He defines collection work as troubleshooting. "I thought that being a Collection Officer (CO) is an easy task because you already have the authority to pull appliances from the past due clients", he said.
But during his actual performance of the job, he realized that this kind of work also requires determination and perseverance. "The responsibility is not easy, you will be faces with tough choices whether to run to avoid arguments with past due and difficult clients or to continue to be able to instill discipline among defaulters," Edu shared with laughter but with firmness."It is necessary that a CO should have the sympathy of clients. Considering their status of being past due, we should also learn to listen to the stories behind their situation and try to balance the circumstances ", he explained. Started working on June 8, 2004 as a CO, Edu is willing to accept bigger responsibilities - and perhaps have a chance to work his way up to being promoted as Bank Manager.

From Rags to Riches : Bernardo G. Espinosa

The life of a Project Officer is full of challenges" remarks Bernardo G. Espinosa, Outstanding ILP Project Officer from Tayug Branch. This man who hails from Baloc, Sto. Domingo used to worked in a construction firm and rice mill until destiny brought him to ASKI.

"I've been to so many odd jobs, until one day, I passed in front of ASKI and saw a signage that they are 'hiring people. So, I decided to apply even though I do not know anyone from the company", he recalls.

He draws inspiration by constantly looking at the bright side of his work such as receiving simple compliments of gratitude and appreciation from the clients and the reality that his work has a big role in alleviating poverty. He envisions himself as a branch manager someday and he believes that it is possible as long as he performs well and has the correct attitude at work. He is a graduate of the "School of Hard Knocks" and the word "surrender" is not in his Encyclopedia of life.

Riches are not about money - that is what he believes, and the experinces and learnings that he has acquired in ASKI are already his life-treasure. "I am blessed here in ASKI because of my spiritual transformation and despite of the trials I still prefer to be meek towards others." he philosophizes.

A fulltime mother and wife, Fenalee (popularly known as "Nhel") is the perfect model of a woman who can balance the demands of family and work without sacrificing her dedication to both.

Hired about two years ago, Nhel already proved her worth in the organization. "in every work, one must always consider it as her own business and that every time there is a problem, you are much willing to help since you consider it yours", That is why everytime challenges come her way, she is always in control.

"It is nice to know that clients trust us not merely about loans but even when it concerns their personal problems," shares Nhel.

She believes that providence brought her to ASKI to help the poor. and acknowledges her mentors that brought her to the pinnacle of success particularly Mr. Jasper Santos, Marlon Enriquez, Joel Respicio, . Irma Santos and Michael Gutierrez.

"I learned a lot from them, positive or negative, I put to use all that I learned from them to enhace and improve my work."
